Mission Statement

Guided by its objectives, Astonbrook HA:

  • Believes that prevention of homelessness and underlying issues is the collective responsibility of our society and that tackling it requires joined up thinking and inter-agency approach.
  • Recognises that homelessness can affect people from all backgrounds and sectors of our society, but specifically hinders disproportionately the BME communities and believes that paramount diligence is required to ensure that services are not only available, but also accessible to those marginalised.
  • Believes that provision of supported housing for refugees and other vulnerable groups, is a constructive initiative to facilitate social integration and regeneration.
  • Exists to provide supported housing in an empowering way, which ensures a person may remain in control of decisions affecting their lives. A key aspect of this is ensuring they have accurate information, which they can understand and use to make informed choices.

“Valuing its most vulnerable groups is a cornerstone of a just, equitable civilised society. Therefore, Astonbrook HA will continually endeavour to enhance the quality of service and harness opportunities in ways, which meet the challenges and encapsulate the essence of what supporting people are seeking to achieve.”
